Few swords are more intimidating or more effective than the two handed Chinese War Sword. Its huge, wide blade will shear through armor as if it were butter, not to mention mere flesh and bones.

Cold Steel Sword - Nodachi Warrior Series (88BN) |
Points: 27

Cold Steel Nodachi Warrior Series
The Japanese swords of the Imperial Series have proven, since their initial introduction almost five years ago, to be quite popular with many of our customers. Still, we are aware that there are some people who want a battle ready sword but hope to find one at a more affordable price. Our Warrior Series addresses this problem directly. In our efforts to reduce the costliness of the blades, we have omitted the expensive mirror polishing that we used on our Imperial Swords to create a new series of Japanese swords with a more practical finish. The Warrior Series swords are very handsome in their own right and share the same steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their more expensive Imperial counterparts. Like the Imperial swords, they have Samé covered, cord wrapped handles and quality fittings. If you`re in the market for a strong, good looking, reasonably priced Japanese sword we know you`ll be happy to own one of these. All come complete with a black lacquered scabbard and a blue/violet cover bag.

Edward III Sword (SH2033) |
Points: 20
|
Edward III of England was a warrior who is remembered in history for his dramatic victory against the French at Crecy (1346) and his sword, far from being a purely ceremonial piece, was made to be wielded in battle. The Edward III Sword (SH2033) has survived the centuries in remarkably good condition and we have been able to replicate it in great detail. The style is typical of a 14th century battle sword but the fittings are undoubtedly those of a king, from the heavy gilding to the adder-skin grip to the beautifully enameled coat of arms, the latter illustrating Edward`s claim to French territories by combining the Lion of England with the Fleur-de-Lys of France. This well balanced sword may be wielded single-handed or hand-and-a-half style and would (and perhaps did!) give an excellent accounting of itself in the field of battle.

Italian War Sword (501233) |
Points: 14
|
While the rapier as carried by the civilian population, many military men held it in great distain, considering it effiminate. Some took this to the degree where they had older, medieval cutting style blades mounted on more modern hilts. This sword is certainly a prime example of this practice with its wide cutting blade mounted on a slightly "S" curved quillion cross guard with simple finger ring protection. Features a rough out, leather over wood grip and wheel pommel with floral decoration. Very much a heavy cutting sword, scabbard included. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Sold Out

The Densen - War Fan (OH2182) |
Points: 9
|
The War Fan was an essential signaling device on the battlefield used by officers to command and direct troops. The gumbai-dansen version was typically round in shape and stiff with a prolonged stem as a handle. The fan could also be used as weapon using the handle to strike and the stiff fan to block with. Our war fan is based on an original from the Edo period and is inscribed with Chinese military philosophy from Sun Tzu`s Art of War. Japanese military leaders were well versed in the strategies of Sun Tzu and it is not surprising to find his maxims gracing antique war fans. Sold Out
