Malta Sword of the Knights of St John 1565 |

The St. John's Knights Sword is also called the sword of Malta in memory of the fierce battle during the siege of Malta, in which the Knights of Saint John stopped the huge Ottoman flotilla from further entering their territory. The Maltese knight's cross, deeply carved on the head, is a characteristic distinguishing feature of this sword, it was a point of worship for knights during the fight and symbolizes their devotion. The sword of Malta has a steel head, a solid steel guard and a well-balanced forged blade made of high-carbon steel that can be sharpened (not sharpened by factory). The handle made of grooved wood is covered with real leather. The sword is complemented by a scabbard made of wood covered with thick leather with steel fittings.
