Cold Steel Wakizashi Bokken (92BKKB) |
Points: 2
|
Cold Steel Wakizashi Bokken is made of the heaviest grade polypropylene available and closely duplicates a real Katana in length, size, weight and feel. And while it is not quite as rigid as wood, it has the advantage of being virtually unbreakable as well as remarkably stiff and cut resistant.

Hanwei Practical Wakizashi (SH2061) |
Points: 8
|
Now available to match the ever-popular Practical Katana (SH1070) is the Practical Wakizashi, offering the same quality at a great price. Blades are forged and differentially tempered to producing an HRC60 edge and HRC40 back. The temper line is authentic and prominent. Cost savings are effected by using fittings which, while making no claims to authenticity, are very strongly built to withstand the rigors of cutting exercises.

Hanwei Shinto Wakizashi (SH1015) |
Points: 25
|
Each piece in the Shinto Daisho (SH1001 & SH1015) has a hand-forged 1065 high-carbon steel blade (nagasa) and is differentially tempered using a traditional claying method. The Shinto Daisho is mounted in black and the tsuka-ito is made of premium black Japanese cotton. The saya is done in a deep black lacquer with a black cotton sageo. A finely rendered dragon, detailed in gold, with true front-and-back detail, forms the black iron tsuba. The fittings are superbly antiqued adding to the aesthetics of the set. The blades feature a groove (bo-hi) on both sides and are constructed with a medium length (chu) kissaki. The incredibly popular Shinto Daisho is the cornerstone of our CAS/Hanwei line of Samurai weapons.

Points: 20
|
Our Bamboo Mat Wakizashi features a chu-kissaki blade of Hanwei's own high-alloy HWS-2S steel, which combines impressive performance with a striking O-choji hamon. Cold Steel Gold Lion Wakizashi Sword (88ABW) |
Points: 15
|
The Gold Lion Wakizashi mirrors the materials, fit and finish of its larger brother in every way except size. It’s equally light and fast, and with the same high-quality materials, but at a fraction of the size, making it an exquisite companion piece to the Gold Lion Katana, or a beautiful stand-alone blade in its own right.

Cold Steel Mizutori (Crane) Wakizashi (88CKW) |
Points: 10
|
The Crane is a symbol of luck and longevity, loyalty and strength, and is a much-loved symbol in Japan. As we developed a new Katana to add to our long standing and world-renowned line-up of Japanese blades, we felt it only fitting to add the Crane as a motif. The Mizutori (Crane) Katana is a high-end, high-performance blade that was inspired by older, practical battlefield Katanas

Cold Steel Sword - Dragonfly Wakizashi (88DW) |
Points: 23
|
Cold Steel Dragonfly Wakizashi
The classic Japanese battle sword in all its incarnations has been celebrated for centuries, not only for its elegant lines and simple beauty, but also for the technique and skill that went into its construction.
Most swords offered today are interpretive copies of antiquities from feudal Japan. They were made for warrior`s of small stature who seldom rose above five and a half feet. As skillfully designed as these swords are, they may not be perfectly suited for the twenty first century warrior, who benefited from contemporary advances in childhood nutrition and healthcare and grew up to be a substantially taller, stronger, and more athletic version of his historical counterpart.
As a way of compensating for this size disparity, Cold Steel has created the Dragonfly Series. These swords feature thicker, wider and heavier blades, which mirror our Imperial Series in respect to heat treatment, polish, quality of furnishings, and attention to detail, but with a few new departures.
Most noticeable are the distinctive teal-green silk cord-wrap and black samé (ray skin) used on the handles and the black iron furniture that bears the dragonfly motif. Also, the polished blades are more strongly curved than our Imperial blades and terminate in a long iris leaf point for maximum cutting and slashing potential. Additionally, these swords come with two protective bags. There is a blue travel bag and an intricately decorative display bag that`s made from the finest heavy silk metallic brocade.
