Iaito have long been the preferred training tools for safe practice of the many Japanese sword drawing arts typically known as Iaido. While not designed for sword-on-sword contact or actual test cutting, the un-edged iaito is perfectly weighted and balanced for its designed task of safe, repetitive drawing practice.
Made of a special stainless steel, the blades are much more durable than iaito blades made from aluminum alloy, with a "live" feel and much superior rigidity. Through a special tempering process, these Iaito blades eliminate the brittle behaviour sometimes associated with stainless steel, while retaining its low maintenance and rust-resistant qualities. These very affordable Iaito are the ideal training tools for safely praciticing this ancient art.

The Musashi Iaito provides an economical yet authentic sword for the Iaido practitioner. Available in 3 blade lengths (27, 28, 29) to perfectly match your needs. The blade is unedged for safety and forged from steel for more precise weight and balance than an aluminum blade can offer. The blade is also maintenance free, providing a lifetime of practice without worry of rust or tarnish. Miyamoto Musashi, arguably the most famous swordmaster in Japanese history, fought more than 60 duels before retiring and writing his famous treatise on swordplay, the "Book of Five Rings". Development of the two-sword style of swordplay, with the Daito (long sword) and Wakizashi being used together, is credited to Musashi. Mounted in black, the Musashi Elite is faithful to the original down to the famous double-ring iron tsubas. The tsuka-ito is in leather over ray skin.

Our two Combat Helms are both crafted in 14 gauge steel, to comply with the combat regulations of many re-enactment societies, with solidly welded bar attachments. The finish is satin black and the interior is unlined for customization to individual preferences. The AH2108 has a hinged faceplate (hinges up when not in use), while the AH2109 model is of one-piece construction. Bar spacing on both complies with most societal regulations.

Due to demand, we offer high quality Sword Cases (OH2158 & OH2159) for your traveling needs. These sword cases are available in a medium(OH2159) and large(OH2158) size. They are constructed from black high-density fabric and the bottom of the bag is reinforced with thick leather. A shoulder strap and carrying handle are equipped on the cases for traveling convenience. Each case has two inside zipped-compartments for storage security and an outer compartment for maintenance supplies. These cases can hold a plethora of swords depending on various shapes and sizes. These sword cases are perfect for those who travel frequently with their swords across country or across town.

Long the traditional weapon of China`s peasant armies, the Dadao, or big sword (SH1012), was used with deadly effect as late as the 1930`s in the Sino-Japanese War. Its single- or two-handed versatility, combined with the tremendous slashing power of its weight-forward blade made it the ideal close-quarters weapon. Although the originals had no scabbard, a simple carrying case is provided for protection and ease of transportation.

The pattern of the Ming Sword dates from the Ming Dynasty (1368 AD -- 1644 AD), which ruled China for almost three centuries after the fall of the Mongol controlled Yuan Dynasty. The beauty of this delightfully compact sword centers on its superb pattern-welded K120C blade, forged with a ridged central fuller providing the stiffness required for thrusting and the lightness required for speed. The grip is sculpted from brown buffalo horn, which is also used in thin, translucent wafers as a shell for the intricately decorated scabbard. The brass fittings are selectively decorated with dynastic designs plated in silver.
Recreated by the craftsmen of CAS Hanwei from the swords of the Lords of the great dynasties, these Chinese Gongfu swords represent the pinnacle of the sword maker's art, vividly illustrating the skills and creativity of the smiths of Imperial China.

| Han Sword (SH2005) |

The Han Sword is a cavalry pattern from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD), which reunited China and established boundaries very similar to those existing today. The rosewood grip and scabbard are inlaid with silver in an intricate scroll pattern, while the gilded steel guard, pommel and scabbard decorations feature the "crouching tiger" motif. The random pattern K120C Damascus blade, with its ridged central fuller and reinforced point is admirably suited for slashing cuts and powerful thrusts from horseback.
