The Hanwei Musashi Katana is a Japanese sword built after the daito once wielded by Miyamoto Musashi, widely regarded as the most famous swordmaster in Japanese history. Musashi stood well above the average height of his time, and Hanwei's rendition preserves the generous proportions of his original long sword.
The katana's blade is hand-forged from high carbon steel and edge-tempered, leaving a distinct hamon along its length. The tsuka is wrapped in leather over rayskin (samegawa) and pegged twice to the nakago (tang) for added safety during handling. Its tsuba (round handguard) is cast in iron and features the legendary double-ring design associated with Musashi's swords. The mounting is finished in black, and the saya (scabbard) carries a textured surface for extra durability.
Suited for collectors, iaido and battōdō practitioners, or anyone drawn to the legacy of Miyamoto Musashi, this katana ships with a custom-fit cloth bag for storage and transport, along with a Japanese blade maintenance kit to keep the steel in good condition.
