Signature Series Erbach Sword 1480 |
This sword is in the armoury of Erbach Castle and is an excellent example of a late medieval/renaissance sword (classified as type XVIII A in the Oakeshott system). It is a truly beautiful example of a one-and-a-half-handed sword, effective in both cutting and thrusting. The steel elements are highly ornate and sharp blade made of high-carbon steel has a delicate concave grind, which makes the sword fit perfectly in the hand - regardless of whether it is wielded one-handed or two-handed. A scabbard is included.
