Cold Steel Nodachi Warrior Series
The Japanese swords of the Imperial Series have proven, since their initial introduction almost five years ago, to be quite popular with many of our customers. Still, we are aware that there are some people who want a battle ready sword but hope to find one at a more affordable price. Our Warrior Series addresses this problem directly. In our efforts to reduce the costliness of the blades, we have omitted the expensive mirror polishing that we used on our Imperial Swords to create a new series of Japanese swords with a more practical finish. The Warrior Series swords are very handsome in their own right and share the same steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their more expensive Imperial counterparts. Like the Imperial swords, they have Samé covered, cord wrapped handles and quality fittings. If you`re in the market for a strong, good looking, reasonably priced Japanese sword we know you`ll be happy to own one of these. All come complete with a black lacquered scabbard and a blue/violet cover bag.

Original antique Spadroons are quite scarce, and far too valuable to use as actual weapons, but luckily you can get a Cold Steel reproduction. Loosely modeled on historical examples, our Spadroon has been hardened to a spring temper, and fully sharpened, it's capable delivering a fearsome cut as well as a lethal thrust. Our Crecy single-hand sword, celebrating the first major battle, in 1346, of the hundred years war between England and France, is styled after an early 14th century original. The riveted-tang blade, forged in 5160 high-carbon steel, features a prominent central ridge that provides the necessary stiffness for forceful thrusts, while the stylish hilt features slightly down-turned quillons and a cord-wrapped grip. The handsome scabbard, finished in chestnut leather, is a fitting complement to the sword.

Long extolled as the pinnacle of rapier design, the "Spanish" or "Cup-Hilt" rapier undoubtedly combined style and function very effectively in 17th century Europe. The very best of these weapons featured beautifully pierced cups and pommels and CAS Hanwei has replicated these to perfection and combined them with an elegantly tapered high-carbon steel blade in our "Taza" rapier (the name comes from the French, who called this style "a la Taza"). A leather-covered scabbard is included.
The matching Main Gauche again features a pierced guard and pommel in the same design as the rapier, with a fileworked blade in the Spanish style. A leather scabbard and belt frog are included.
