Russian Shasqua |
Known originally as a Cossack cavalry weapon, this Russian Shasqua was later adopted as the official officer’s sword of the Soviet Union. The single‐edged, moderately curved blade is forged from tempered high‐carbon steel for strength. The hilt features a hand‐carved hardwood grip with a spiral pattern, capped by a detailed brass pommel bearing Soviet symbols (star, sickle, and hammer). Elegant brass fittings also appear on the scabbard—black in color and fitted with a ring, allowing it to be conveniently worn at the hip. The blade is blunt, but you can sharpen it yourself.
