Cold Steel Sword - Nodachi Warrior Series (88BN) |
Points: 27
|
Cold Steel Nodachi Warrior Series
The Japanese swords of the Imperial Series have proven, since their initial introduction almost five years ago, to be quite popular with many of our customers. Still, we are aware that there are some people who want a battle ready sword but hope to find one at a more affordable price. Our Warrior Series addresses this problem directly. In our efforts to reduce the costliness of the blades, we have omitted the expensive mirror polishing that we used on our Imperial Swords to create a new series of Japanese swords with a more practical finish. The Warrior Series swords are very handsome in their own right and share the same steel, heat treatment, and sharpness as their more expensive Imperial counterparts. Like the Imperial swords, they have Samé covered, cord wrapped handles and quality fittings. If you`re in the market for a strong, good looking, reasonably priced Japanese sword we know you`ll be happy to own one of these. All come complete with a black lacquered scabbard and a blue/violet cover bag.

Hanwei Henry V Sword (SH2369) |
Points: 11
|
The Henry V Sword is modeled after the sword hung over the tomb of one of England's great warrior kings. The single-handed cut-and-thrust weapon combines a relatively short sturdy blade with elegant down-swept quillons and a wheel pommel. Iberia Swords are crafted in much the same way as swords were made centuries ago, except that the blades are now forged from high-carbon spring steel, a resource unavailable off-the-shelf to the smiths of the old. The blade finish is far from being polished, again more closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. Except as noted, grips are leather-covered hardwood. Fittings are either steel or solid brass. Except, where shown all of these swords have scabbards of leather-covered fiberglass with steel lockets and chapes and removable suspension rings. These swords will appeal to the re-enactor who wants a sword with the same appearance as the originals. Sold Out

11th C. Viking forged sword |
Points: 15
|
Viking swords, like the Vikings themselves, have reputations for being brutal and utilitarian devices, simplistic hacking weapons with little in the way of grace or beauty. This view has been perpetuated pop culture. For those who study Viking history and culture, though, they know that is simply not the case. Many Viking weapons that have remained for us to examine were not only functional but beautifully decorated. One such example is this sword, based on a find in Finland that dates back to the 11th
Century. Sold Out
